Pattinson's Call Centre Operates At Speed Of Light!

NE1 Internet (Newcastle ONE Leisure Limited) are pleased to announce the Pattinson Estate Agents Call Centre is now operating at the speed of light thanks to the NE8 Metro Next Generation Internet Service.

NE1 have provided Pattinson Estate Agents with a next generation internet service for their premises in Hills Street, Gateshead for use by their call centre, sales and surveying departments.

Staff within the Pattinson’s Call centre are now reaping the rewards with a faster turnaround of calls, allowing them to take advantage of every opportunity in these hard economic times.

This NE8 Metro service has been delivered over a fibre optic network managed by NE1 and is a superfast and state of the art world-class fibre network as fast and reliable as any in the world, with the ability to offer 10Gb of bandwidth to the premises.

Pattinson’s chose the NE8 Metro service over traditional ADSL Broadband which is provided over the BT Openreach copper network, the ADSL signal deteriorates the further from the exchange the customer is, because NE8 Metro is delivered over fibre optic cabling, the signal does not deteriorate and speeds are guaranteed up to 1Gb per second.

ADSL providers usually provide a contended service with a ratio of between 20:1 (Business) and 50:1 (Residential), this allows them to aggregate capacity at the local telephone exchange and can result in slower throughput for ADSL users. If an ADSL user has a line speed of 10Mb, they may well have a throughput which is substantially lower. NE8 Metro does not operate a contended service; end users who subscribe to 10Mb will achieve 10Mb.

Subscribers to the NE8 Metro service have the option to 'flex' their bandwidth, if a period of high usage is anticipated, the size of the internet connection can be increased with only four hours notice. Other value added services include Content Filtering, network management and server co-location.

Our previous internet connection was provided over ADSL and frequently stopped working, for a company like ours where we rely on the internet, it was a disaster, it was mainly caused by congestion on the providers network. NE8 Metro guarantees availability at the same time as providing uncontended bandwidth.”
